School Introduction

Camber College is located in the beautiful coastal community of Powell River. We are only a short 25 minute flight from Vancouver, or a scenic drive along the coast which includes 2 ferries. We are the gateway into Desolation Sound Marine Park, the home of The Powell Forest Canoe Route and The Sunshine Coast Hiking Trail. We are surrounded by towering mountains, pristine lakes and an ocean protected by Vancouver Island. In the spring and summer, we offer sailing, scuba diving, kayaking and many more outdoor activities. In the winter, we offer skiing, snow-boarding, snowshoeing and much more. ESL Program Introduction

At Camber College we have Academic English and International Business English courses for beginners to advanced learners. All levels concentrate on developing language skills through sequenced exercises that are focused, fun and communicative. We also offer test preparation courses. Depending on your future goals, you might need Cambridge, TOEFL or TOEIC. At Camber College, you can take a full time prep course or choose one as an elective course. We are an official Cambridge ESOL test center, so you can take your tests here with us. We have a very popular Volunteer program which allows you to take what you've learned in the classroom to the "real" world. You will study part time and volunteer in a Canadian company part time. We also offer a variety of student centered, student chosen elective classes each month. At Camber College, you get to decide what you want to study.
