School Introduction

The Banff Language Institute is a new language school offering ESL programs at the Banff Centre. The Banff Language Institute is the only language school located in Banff National Park : A World UNESCO Heritage Site.

The Canadian Rocky Mountains offer breathtaking scenery, beautiful photographs and unlimited recreation such as, skiing and snowboarding, canoeing, hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking. The opportunities are endless.

We welcome students from all over the world to come and join us for ESL in Canada.

ESL Program Introduction

We are a small school and we are proud to offer quality instruction and small class sizes for group lessons.

Our group programs are modified in order to meet the needs of individual students while moving ahead as a group. Lessons focus on increasing conversation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and listening skills.

We have an English-only policy at the institute to ensure that students experience the success of full immersion language learning. We also focus on providing quality cultural and recreational opportunities for our students.

We plan weekly outings that are optional but highly recommended.

Schedule & Fees

Group Lesson Fees ( vary depending on the programs selected)

Morning (15hr), Afternoon (15hr), Full Day (27hr), Evening (6 hr)

Semi-Private Lessons: $25/hour/person (Maximum 2 students)
Private Lessons: $40/hour

Courses start on every Monday excluding Canadian Holidays.
The Banff Language Institute is closed on the following holidays: July 1st (Canada Day), Aug 1st (Civic Holiday), Sept 5th (Labour Day), October 10th (Thanksgiving), November 11 (Remembrance Day) Dec 22 to Jan 6 Christmas Break, Feb 20 (Family Day), April 14 (Good Friday), May 22 (Victoria Day).
