Saint-Charles-Garnier Collège, founded in 1635 by the Jesuits, is the oldest French college of North America. It is a government funded private secondary school for girls and boys aged between 12 and 17. Saint-Charles-Garnier is recognized in Canada for its high educational standards, as well as its pedagogical and intercultural approach. From around the world, students and teachers of French second language have been coming to the Collège for over 40 years. ESL Program Introduction In addition to its French summer program "En français à Québec!" (students from 14 to 17 years of age), the Collège also offers an English Summer Program "English in Victoria!", BC (14 to 18 years of age). Both these 5 week programs span over July and the beginning of August. The Collège also offers a program called "French High School Studies" from September to June.
