School Introduction

HLI is a member of The Language Company. We are located on the campus of Fort Hays State University, in Hays Kansas, midway between Denver, Colorado and Kansas City, Missouri. Students who graduate from HLI are eligible for admissions to FHSU and other colleges and TMP High School without a TOEFL score. Our students have access to all the activities of the university, including internet, sport events, swimming, tennis, basketball, and library. At HLI students learn English quickly with caring, professional instructors in a clean, safe, friendly Midwestern city. HLI is accredited by ACCET and is a member of NAFSA, TESOL and AAIEP.

ESL Program Introduction

HLI offers 9 levels of Intensive English, with sessions beginning every 4 weeks and running year round. Students who graduate from HLI are eligible for admissions to FHSU and other colleges throughout Kansas without a TOEFL score. With our highly qualified instructors, students learn English quickly. We provide educational and fun activites each session and introduce students to our Midwestern culture. Few non-native speakers live in Hays. Students can live and learn in a quiet, safe, friendly environment.
