School Introduction

The Eastern Institute of Technologuy is a Tertiary Insitutution which offers certificate, degree & diploma courses as well as an English Language School.
EIT is situated in a coastal city with plenty of opportunities for adventures in the beautiful NZ environment. Students can go on activities on Friday afternoons as part of their English course. They can also go on weekend trips organised by the Institution. (skiing, farm trips, travel around the country).

Students are placed in carefully selected homestays near to EIT and are provided with 3 meals a day. Alternatively, hostel accommodation is available at the EIT student village. Living costs are affordable.

ESL Program Introduction

At the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) the English Language programme is designed for students who wish to improve their English communication and/or prepare for later Certificate/Diploma and Degree programmes. Our classes include General English from Beginner to Advanced levels. We also have the following classes: IELTS preparation, EAP and business. EIT is a British Council registered IELTS testing centre and we run IELTS exams throughout the year. We also run the TOEIC exam. Study tour groups are offered to suit specialised needs: eg English plus activities/wine/art/tourism/business etc.

Tuition:
Full time-$330 (NZD) per week
Part time-$220 (NZD) per week

Admininstration Fee:
$100 for 6 months of less, $200 for 6 months to 1 year

Accommodation:
Homestay:$160 per week (incl 3 meals a day)
Student Residential Village: $110 (food not included)

Living Costs:
Recommended aprox. $70-$120 per week

Housing/Accommodation Info

Students have the option of our Student Residential Village next to EIT and the International size sports arena, which accommodates 6 students per unit. They have their own bedroom with a shared kitchen/dinning etc. There are 12 units. Accommodation officer helps to arrange this.
