School Introduction

GEOS Language Academy – Victoria is located in beautiful downtown Victoria on Vancouver Island. Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia, and a 15-minute flight from Vancouver International Airport. We can also be reached by an incredibly scenic ferry ride from the mainland; you might even see a killer whale on the way.

ESL Program Introduction

Comprehensive and Intensive English Programs year round. Want to add some specialty courses? We also offer, at various times throughout the year, TOEIC ® and TOEFL ® Test Preparation, Listening & Pronunciation, Writing, Business English, and a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course, if you are interested in teaching English in your home country. Private and Semi-Private lessons are other popular options. We are always working to provide more and better learning opportunities for our students, so other courses may be available or upcoming. Housing/Accommodation Info

Accommodations Students have lots of alternatives for accommodations in Victoria. Hostels and apartment-hotels are options year-round. Prices and availability are based on the seasons, so students should contact us if they are considering these alternative accommodations. Of course, our home stay program is the most popular choice of accommodations for everyone who wants a true Canadian experience! GEOS carefully screens all host families to be sure that they have the qualities necessary to provide our students with the best possible experience in Victoria! All GEOS families must also undergo a security check. The safety and happiness of our students comes first at GEOS. More than just an educational experience, home stays allow students to become fully involved in every aspect of life in Canada. Our families are selected on the basis of their interest in other cultures, their willingness to share their lives with students, and their genuine commitment to providing students with ongoing support during their stay in Victoria. We take a lot of care in matching students with the best host families, considering not only the physical needs of the students, but their emotional well-being as well. Students are provided with their own personal space, 3 meals a day, and all of the benefits that come with being part of a Canadian family!
