School Introduction

The Irish College of English is located in a beautiful coastal town of Dublin, Malahide, in North Dublin. Close to the airport and the city centre, we are in an ideal location for learning English. Malahide is a safe friendly, afluent area and all our host family accommodation is within the area. Recognised by the Department of Education as a year round school for the teaching of English as a Foreign Language. We have built our reputation on excellent tuition, our unequalled friendliness and an awareness of our students' needs. Our teachers are highly qualified and dedicated to ensure tuition of the highest quality.


English courses for Individuals and Groups, General English and Business English. We run classes in the morning and in the evening and are open all year round. Youth English summer school.

ESL Program Introduction

●We cater for individual students, au pairs and groups.
●We specialise in creating new programmes to suit group needs.
●We design specific syllabi and afternoon activities for groups.
●We have established programmes including accomadation and cultural/social programmes such as our Youth Summer School (June to August).
●We offer off season reduced rates for groups from September to June including accomadation and activites.
●Our programmes can be tailored to group needs, for example, we can offer programmes focusing on Irish culture, Irish literature, specific exams, phonetics, Cambridge exam preperation etc.
●We cater for people wishing to combine study with sports such as golfing, sailing, hill walking etc.

Housing/Accommodation Info

Irish family accommodation for Students / Au Pairs Host family accommodation can be arranged for students and au pairs who wish to live with an Irish Family for a truely linguistical stay in Ireland. Irish people have a tradition of hospitality and warmth. This tradition is renowned all over the world and has been a major factor in attracting thousands of students to work and study English in Ireland. Students are placed with carefully selected and oftern experienced Irish families in the Malahide area and within easy reach of the English school. Full board is provided with the Family. Breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal are provided with emphasis on a balanced nutritious diet. Student welfare is our main concern and we choose our families very carefully to ensure maximum comfort. The student may be placed with other International Students thus developing new friendships with young people from all over the world. The host family will do light laundry but if you prefer to do this yourself, facilities will be made available to you. Students must remember that they are a guest in the host family home and should respect their host family and their home.
