American Cultural Exchange Language Institute at Arkansas State University is located on the campus of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Jonesboro is a growing community of about 60,000 people in Northeast Arkansas with a small hometown feel. Students living in Jonesboro have easy access to a number of outdoor and sightseeing activities as well as the aminities of a larger city not far away in Memphis or Little Rock. ESL Program Introduction A.C.E. at ASU is a six level intensive English program designed to prepare non-native English speakers for both graduate and undergraduate studies in the United States. A.C.E. operates on 5 week sessions, and conducts 9 sessions per calendar year. Most of our students enter at level two and after one year of study are prepared to enter the university. Successful completion of our program fulfills the language requirements of ASU, and students can easily make the transfer into Arkansas State University. Background Data
