School Introduction

Welcome to BCILI , an all inclusive ESL retreat located in Canada’s Kootenay Rocky Mountains. Come and experience a personalized English as a Second Language immersion retreat in a historical home, surrounded by the Canadian Rockies and the Purcell Mountains.

Learn Canadian English in a relaxed setting with innovative and experienced teachers. Monthly programs and schedules are created with the students wishes and needs in mind.
All levels are taught, from beginner to advanced and programs including ESL for Business Management, Hotel and Hospitality, LOHAS – Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability, Academic Preparation for TOEFL or TOIEC and General Interest ESL.

ESL Program Introduction

Students can choose to learn English for general uses, including sports, travel, home, etc. In the lessons, the students learn speaking, reading, writing and listening skills for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.
ESL students can learn vocabulary and speaking styles for customer service in the Hotel and Hospitality industry. The student will be able to practice job applications, interviews, meetings and performance reviews.
Business English Communicationis a four-week program designed for people who need to use English in the workplace. This course teaches appropriate language for business situations including sales and marketing, meetings, negotiations etc. Role-plays, targeted readings and case studies prepare students for fluent and natural English in the workplace.
Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) describes the growing number of people and businesses focused on making good choices to help the environment, personal health and global cultures. This program offers language and techniques of LOHAS to assist non-English speakers understand this growing trend for sustainable goods and services.

LOHAS 3 month session - February 5 - May 1, 2008, May 6 - July 25, 2008, August 12- October 31

Tuition - 80 hours monthly, three month tuition $2250
