School Introduction

The Modern Institute is an educational NGO established with the goal of promoting social integration through language teaching and training. Our focus is in quality teacher education, especially ESL/EFL teacher training. We are located right downtown in beautiful Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria. As a part of our commercial business, in support of our donor-funded activities, we also offer paid training courses such as the World Learning SIT Graduate Program TESOL Certificate Course.

ESL Program Introduction

The World Learning SIT Graduate Institute TESOL Certificate Course is recognised worldwide by the major EFL/ESL language schools as an entry level teaching certificate. The course is four weeks long and intensive. It is a practical course which has as a major component real ESL/EFL teaching to practice students, observed by the course trainer.
