ELS San Diego is located conveniently located in the heart of downtown. All major bus lines stop just outside the school entrance, the train station is a ten-minute walk and the airport just a ten-minute drive.
California’s second largest city has the charm and feel of a much smaller city and the beautiful sunny moderate climate is rated the best in the United States. Horton Plaza, San Diego’s best shopping mall with over 140 stores, a 15-screen movie theater, and a huge food court, is just behind the Center. The Gaslamp District, downtown’s premier entertainment area and home to many outstanding restaurants and lively nightclubs, is less than a five-minute walk.
One hundred kilometers of sandy beaches are nearby for swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, sailing and other aquatic fun and Sea World, the Wild Animal Park, and the world famous San Diego Zoo are top tourist attractions in San Diego. Host families, located in residential areas 30-45 minutes from the Center by public transportation and four nearby inexpensive downtown residence hotels are popular housing alternatives
This location offers group Intensive (30 lessons per week), Semi-Intensive (20 lessons per week) and American Explorer (15 lessons per week) English programs. Business English and a TOEFL iBT Prep Program (30 lessons per week) are also offered .
Students in the Intensive, Semi-Intensive & American Explorer English Programs receive instruction and practice in all key language skills: speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading & writing. The Intensive English Program also offers afternoon elective classes that focus on specific interests (such as American Idioms, American Film, Current Events and American Culture).
The comprehensive, 12-week TOEFL iBT Prep Program (30 lessons per week) offers practice in reading & listening skills, writing and speaking, as well as test-taking strategies to help increase the TOEFL score.
A Business English program is offered (30 lessons per week) focusing on Business vocabulary and Business conversation.

PREP PROGRAM FOR THE TOEFL iBT:
