Emily Griffith Opportunity School (EGOS) was founded in 1916 and is part of the Denver Public Schools System.
The Language Learning Center at Emily Griffith Opportunity School (EGOS) is the oldest and largest ESL Program in Denver teaching over 2,500 students annually for over 90 years. Students of the Language Learning Center at EGOS represent over 40 countries and the teachers combine more than 250 years of experience. We are Colorado's Refugee ESL program educating 700 refugees who resettle in Denver each year. We also offer Spanish classes, job-skills training and onsight customized training for local businesses.
