Founded in 2006, Expanish is a language school in Buenos Aires, Argentina with a strong focus on comprehensive, hands on learning and progressive teaching styles, as well as an overall cultural experience for students. Expanish offers TEFL certification programs along with a social atmosphere, leisure activities, trips, internships, volunteer opportunities, Spanish classes and other programs, all with the underlying goal of a complete, Latin American cultural immersion experience balanced with an emphasis on academic excellence.
The school's setting in downtown Buenos Aires, along with a full support staff, provisions for local living arrangements, in-house travel assistance, and a job placement network, provide for an extensive TEFL abroad experience for those who wish to gain a valuable living experience while becoming certified to teach English as a foreign language.
The Expanish TEFL Abroad program is intended for recent college graduates, students with a gap year, career break-ers, or anyone seeking to teach English as a means of funding some time abroad. The program is open to native English speakers, or non-native speakers who have completed an English fluency exam (TOEFL or similar) who have completed at least two years of University or comparable work experience.
During a four-week, 120 or 150 hour intensive course, students of Expanish TEFL will be provided with the necessary teaching skills, language tools, hands on method, and confidence to be able to become a working English instructor to speakers of other languages. The curriculum adheres strictly to the standards of the University of Cambridge CELTA curriculum, or the British Counsel's College of Teachers' curriculum. The program is complete with an after-completion job placement facilitation so that successful graduates of Expanish TEFL can continue to live and work in Buenos Aires for an extended period of time.
Expanish TEFL offers a range of special programs in addition to its curriculum that can be added on to the TEFL program such as an internship, volunteer teaching, Spanish classes, leisure workshops such as Tango, weekend trips, and other opportunities.

All students are provided with housing options if they choose to attend our program. Choices range from more social, traveler's atmosphere, to a home-stay with host family, and all are specifically chosen and approved by our staff so as to meet the standards of our school. Needs of the student are also taken into consideration such as dietary or health concerns, study habits, personal choices, proximity to institute of study, or other factors.
Every student has access to a full support staff for any living, personal, academic, or travel issues that should arise during the program.
