School Introduction

At the International Academy of English our mission is to provide international students with English language instruction of the highest quality. IAE’s pedagogical approach gives students the opportunity to develop a comprehensive set of English language skills, spanning areas such as reading, writing, grammar, conversation, pronunciation and preparation for specialized testing. IAE’s stimulating and productive learning environment is well-suited to prepare students for success in their future personal, academic and professional pursuits.

ESL Program Introduction

We offer open enrollment throughout the year. Students may begin class on any Monday. We offer classes with emphasis on personal attention, which guarantee our students the maximum learning opportunity and more attention from your instructor. Schedules are custom designed for each student, and take into account the student’s preferred time to attend class, as well as his/her English level. Successful completion of the advanced levels (7 or 8) of IAE’s Intensive English Program waives the TOEFL score requirement for admission to a degree program at Southern States University.

Students will receive an IAE Certificate of Attendance, or a Certificate of Completion, as well as ongoing progress reports describing their abilities in each skill area. The diversity in the student population at IAE affords our students the opportunity to practice English continually, as students befriend other students from all parts of the world. Instruction is given exclusively in English, with an emphasis on conversation and discussion and a de-emphasis on translation. Discussion of American culture is integrated within all courses throughout the curriculum. Topic classes vary each quarter, but are always interesting and cover such topics as Idioms, Business English, Current Events, Vocabulary, and Conversation.

All campuses are also equipped with computer centers that have the latest in interactive multimedia software to enhance individual language learning.

Housing/Accommodation Info

Study English at the International Academy of English's Las Vegas West campus AND live in IAE owned accommodations, with prices starting as low as $250/4 weeks. Houses with 3, 4, 5 and 6 bedrooms are available. For more information, call (702) 383-4088. IAE Las Vegas West has recently moved to a new and beautiful location. A bus stop is located right in front of the school, as well as lots of restaurants, casinos and tourist attractions. In addition, if you stay at one of our five “student houses”, you can walk to school, which is just a few blocks away.
