School Introduction

The school is located on the 9th floor of an elegant office building in Boston's stylish Back Bay area. The building has 4 cafes and a restaurant, and a variety of other restaurants can be found within a few minutes' walk. Between classes, students can relax in the Public Garden, which is right next to the school. Just a five minute walk away is fashionable Newbury Street, perfect for high-class shopping and dining. OISE Boston is the perfect place to begin shopping or walking tours of this beautiful city.

ESL Program Introduction

All lessons follow the the OISE approach: challenging instruction, a rapid pace, teachers who push students to work hard and achieve their best, plenty of practice and homework, and a clear presentation of the material. Lessons are taught in groups of four, or one-to-one. After class, students work individually in the Self-Access Center, where they can use a wide variety of books, audio and video materials, and computer-based learning, under the guidance of a tutor. On some courses, a fluency practice Workshop is offered every afternoon. Students also have a chance to put their English to work on our social program, consisting of three activities per week.
