School Introduction

Colorado State University, located in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado, is recognized throughout the world for its excellence in academic programs from the baccalaureate to the postgraduate level. Colorado State University offers more than 150 programs of study within eight colleges and 55 departments allowing students to meet personal and professional goals. In addition, the City of Fort Collins (population 120,000) provides a unique blend of big city advantages and small town friendliness. Fort Collins provides many recreational opporunties such as hiking, skiing, golfing, biking and rafting. The climate is ideal; the city enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine and generally pleasant weather throughout the four season.

ESL Program Introduction

The Intensive English Program (IEP) at Colorado State University has over 25 years experience providing English instruction to students. Our international students progress toward their academic, professional or personal language goals using our up-to-date computer and language lab with full access to the internet. Students from over 25 countries study in small classes during each of the 7 week terms. The IEP offers conditional admission and "GATEway", a program that allows international undergraduate students to take Colorado State University courses while completing the Intensive English Program. Classroom instruction is complemented by a fully developed activities program providing community interaction and Colorado sightseeing trips. The IEP is an essential part of Colorado State University, known worldwide for its top programs in such fields as engineering, veterinary medicine, water resources, forestry, agricultural science, human sciene, natural sciences, business, atmospheric sciences, and more.
