MESLS is a private intensive English program in the safe, scenic city of Madison, Wisconsin. Madison, with a population of 200,000 people, is the capitol of the state of Wisconsin and has twice been named the #1 city in the United States by Money magazine for its beauty, economic prosperity, and low crime rate. The school occupies the ground floor of a clean, modern building with spacious classrooms, a well-equipped computer lab, and a student lounge. MESLS is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, and the University of Wisconsin, with several bus lines that stop in front of the school. Housing is available in furnished on-campus apartments, or students may apply for a home-stay with an American family. ESL Program Introduction MESLS features small classes, with no more than 12 students, where students receive plenty of personal attention from qualified ESL instructors. Our curriculum includes core courses such as Grammar, Writing, Communication, and Reading, as well as supplemental courses such as TOEFL Test Preparation, Movies, Slang, and Pronunciation. In addition to classes, MESLS provides opportunities for students to socialize, practice their English, and celebrate American holidays and traditions. Advisors are available for students who wish to attend universities or colleges in the U.S., and conditional acceptance agreements with several programs allow MESLS graduates to be admitted without official TOEFL scores.
