School Introduction

Spokane Community College, founded in 1963, is a fully accredited comprehensive two-year state college, located in Spokane, Washington (with a population of 196,000). The City of Spokane is large enough to provide excellent student services and entertainment, and small enough to provide a comfortable and safe environment to study.

The region is surrounded by mountains, lakes, streams, rolling hills and forests. It is a great place for recreational activities, such as camping, hiking, biking, snow skiing, tennis and golfing are readily available. SCC has a large campus next to the beautiful Spokane River. The campus includes 16 separate academic and advising buildings in a clean and attractive setting. It offers fully equipped health science labs, enviromental science centers and many, many more.

ESL Program Introduction

ESL instruction at SCC is provided by our sister-college: Spokane Falls Community College. Students completing the ESL program at Spokane Falls are given automatic acceptance at Spokane Community College. No change in admission or Homestay is required.

The Intensive English Language Program is open to students who wish to improve their English skills for academic studies. The program has attracted students from around the world, and these students have successfully completed their educational goals and have earned degrees that enabled them to work or further their educations at other four-year colleges.
