Welcome to the English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) Program at Virginia International University. Advanced English language proficiency is vital for surviving in today's global market and has become the standard language for commerce, entertainment, the Internet, information technology, and other important fields. VIU addresses this need by offering a semester-based, intensive English program with several proficiency levels, ranging from beginner to advanced.
