School Introduction

Located in east central Florida, DeLand is a charming, traditional, small Florida town. Shopping, restaurants and the Cultural Arts Center are all within walking distance of the Center, Daytona Beach is just 20 miles away by car. Orlando and Disney World, Universal Studios, EPCOT Center, the Animal Kingdom, the historic city of St. Augustine and the Kennedy Space Center are all less than an hour away. This location is one of our smallest and will accept some younger students compared to other ELS locations. ELS/Deland is located on the campus of the highly regarded Stetson University.

ESL Program Introduction

The ELS Fast Track program offers Intermediate & Advanced-level ESL students the opportunity to accelerate their learning by studying in 3-week sessions of 40 hours per week. Students progress through the levels quickly and save money on housing costs and living expenses. Completion of the Fast Track Program final levels will qualify students for conditional acceptance through the ELS Co-op program, without needing to wait to achieve a TOEFL score. This program will be available at select ELS Language Centers, including this location. Students benefit from small classes and personalized attention allowing them to focus on their individual needs and maximize their progress while studying English at ELS.

Fast Track is a specially designed and carefully coordinated program of accelerated learning that takes only 3 weeks per level to complete. The usual 120 lessons of ESL that we provide in our regular 4-week sessions will be covered in 3 weeks only. This special program will provide 8 hours of English classes per day, and will use a special integrated skills curriculum, as well as personalized learning plan, the state of the art new Language Technology Center, and daily interactions with American people on campus. These centers will also offer more attention to students, with no more than 10-12 students per class in the core classes, and up to 20 in the lab and Reading and Writing classes.

FAST TRACK PROGRAM:

TUITION: $1400 per 3-week session

Application Fee: $135 (one-time fee)
Materials & Technology Fee: $55 per session
ELS Health Insurance Plan: $85 per session
