School Introduction

ELS/St. Petersburg is located on the beautiful waterfront campus of Eckerd College, only a 20-minute bicycle ride from the famous Gulf of Mexico. St. Petersburg, population 300,000, is well known for its beaches, mild climate and educational and cultural attraction. Students can enjoy water sports, swimming, tennis and soccer year-round and Disney World, Epcot, Sea World, Busch Gardens and Universal Studios are all close by.

ESL Program Introduction

This location offers group Intensive (30 lessons per week), Semi-Intensive (20 lessons per week) and American Explorer (15 lessons per week) English programs.

Students in the Intensive, Semi-Intensive & American Explorer English Programs offer instruction and practice in all key language skills: speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading & writing. The Intensive English Program also offers afternoon elective classes that focus on specific interests (such as American Idioms, American Film, Current Events and American Culture).

This location offers a January Youth Homestay program and a summer Youth Camp for children. These programs include general English instruction and fun filled activities. Students are supervised by adults and live in homestays (January Youth Homestay) or dormitory (summer Youth Camp).
