School Introduction

Suffolk University, selected as one of "Barron's Best Buys in College Education" as well as one of the "Best 201 Colleges for the Real World," is conveniently located in downtown Boston on historic and secure Beacon Hill near the government, shopping and financial districts of Boston. The English Language for Internationals Program (ELI) at Suffolk University is an intensive non-degree English language program, designed for individuals who wish to improve their English proficiency either for academic study or for career purposes. This program is offered four times a year (Fall and Spring Semesters, and two Summer Sessions) and provides appropriately leveled instruction. We also have classes specifically designed for students pursuing an MBA or business degree. Students receive a certificate of recognition for each level completed.

ESL Program Introduction

Students in the English Language for Internationals Program enjoy small class sizes and individual attention from highly trained and experienced faculty. Classes are content-based, and include instruction in reading, writing, vocabulary, speaking, pronunciation, and academic writing. We offer advanced classes specifically designed for students pursuing an MBA or business degree. Free one-on-one tutoring and workshops in TOEFL preparation, pronunciation, conversation, graduate writing and presentations are available. ELI students also have full Suffolk University student status with access to the libraries, gymnasium, computer labs and cafeterias and eligibility for membership in the International Student Association. Affordable and interesting recreational tours are also available to ELI students.
