School Introduction

Lock Haven University is located in the all-American small town of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania on the historic East Coast of the United States. The important urban centers of New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. are only a few hours drive away. Lock Haven itself is a small, safe town with a traditional American atmosphere. It features a historic district with tree-shaded streets and immaculate Victorian homes. Students will experience four distinct seasons, including a stunning display of colors in the fall when the tree leaves change colors.

The University has had an illustrious history since its foundation in 1870. It is well known for its programs in teacher education, and is one of the few colleges in the country to offer a program in sports medicine. The University is a part of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education. However, enrollment is small, allowing for a high-quality, personalized education. The University was recently chosen by U.S. News and World Report as one of the best liberal arts college in the Northeast, and enjoys an excellent reputation for its service to international students.

ESL Program Introduction

FLS International is one of the top ESL schools in the United States with 6 locations around the country. We offer nine levels of ESL instruction with special emphasis given to TOEFL preparation and university admittance. In addition to our Intensive programs we also offer conditional admission to over 100 colleges and universities through our Universal Placment Program (UPP). We have a special Executive Business English program focusing on specific English needs for the busy professional. Our combination of high quality programs and caring qualified instructors allows you to reach your English goals.
