School Introduction

The International English Language Institute (IELI) is located on the campus of Hunter College, the City University of New York. The Hunter College campus is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, on the corner of East 68th Street and Lexington Avenue. Hunter College is located just blocks away from Central Park, Fifth Avenue, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim Museum, and The Whitney Musuem. The Upper East Side of Manhattan is one of New York City's safest and wealthiest neighborhoods. Our classes can be easily reached by all forms of public transportation including New York City subway and bus service.

ESL Program Introduction

The International English Language Institute (IELI) offers intensive English language instruction for all levels of English learners. Students can choose to study from just a few hours a week to over 20 hours a week. The courses include instruction in speaking, reading, writing and pronouncing American English. We are authorized to offer Visas for foreign students who choose to study with us. Courses are offered in the morning, afternoon, evening and on Saturdays. In addition to our normal programs, we offer a Professional English Academy for executive and professional business men and women who need intensive English study. You can also stay in our dormitory and study English along with American culture in our popular July in the Big Apple program.

We offer a wide variety of courses ranging in cost from $250 for 2 hours a week of instruction to $1,580 for full-time classes of 18 hours per week.
