Brighton is a university city as well as a well known seaside resort and cultural centre. Brighton's best known historical feature is the Royal Pavilion which was the home of the Prince of Wales, and is a short walk from the school. The city has a good choice of theatres, offering the highest standards of entertainment. Being a resort, Brighton also features the usual amusement and leisure activities, centred on the Palace Pier and the promenade. Both are within easy reach of the school.
