Located two blocks from the world-famous University of California at Berkeley, the Berkeley City Center is ideally situated. Kaplan students have access to some of the same student residences used by American university students. Telegraph Avenue, only a short walk from the center, is a regional shopping attraction, filled with bookstores, cafes, and lots of student activity. Downtown San Francisco is only 30 minutes away by subway.
San Francisco is a major cultural center that includes some of the finest universities in the country. In the "City by the Bay," students can visit Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz Island or take a day trip to the beautiful redwood forests or California's wine country. Or for those who enjoy the outdoors, there are many nearby biking and hiking trails, lakes, and beaches. San Francisco is also a world trading center and includes the headquarters of many international companies.
Kaplan is the most highly respected institution for American University entrance preparation at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We offer English for all levels and interests, as well as expert TOEFL, GMAT and GRE preparation. We offer English and Test Preparation classes in more than 100 centers around the country, and we are authorized to issue the form I-20 for international students interested in studying in the US. Our goal is to help students achieve their educational and professional goals.
