Kearney, with a population of 30,000, is located on the Platte River on the historic Oregon Trail and offers many historical museusms and outdoor activities. UNK with a student population of 7,000 offers an excellent undergradute education for a reasonable price. You receive much more than you pay for. ELI offers small classes from nurturing teachers in a setting where English is necessary. UNK is a place to learn and perfect you English. UNK organizes activities for ELI students and tries hard to place students with American families in a buddy system.
