School Introduction

Kaplan's International Program is located in the safe friendly suburb of Des Moines, just 16 miles from the heart of Seattle. Our center offers an intensive English program for students who are planning to attend college in the United States. When our students complete the Advanced Level of English, no TOEFL is required to transfer to Highline Community College which offers Hotel and Tourism, Travel and Transportation, Business, IT and many other degree programs.

Our center is located on the college campus which offeres excellent facilities, including a state-of-the art computer center (free Internet access and e-mail accounts) , library, gymnasium, tennis courts and will soon have a new student center and Central Washington University and graduate programs on this site. Students will have the opportunity to complete intensive English courses, transfer to HCC and then continue for a BA or BS all on the same campus.

Seattle, considered one of the most desirable place to live in the United States, is home to the Mariner's, Microsoft, Amazon and Starbucks. Mount Rainier, one of the tallest U.S. mountains, is nearby for hiking, skiing, snow-boarding and sight-seeing. Students can choose to participate in water sports, mountain climbing, river-rafting, biking and camping in surrounding national parks. Or they can escape for a weekend to Victoria, Canada.

ESL Program Introduction

Kaplan is the most highly respected institution for American University entrance preparation at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. We offer English for all levels and interests, as well as expert TOEFL, GMAT and GRE preparation. We offer English and Test Preparation classes in more than 100 centers around the country, and we are authorized to issue the form I-20 for international students interested in studying in the US. Our goal is to help students achieve their educational and professional goals.
