The picturesque city of Bath, is a unique blend of urban and rural life. The city centre is packed with lively bars, traditional and international shops, historic buildings and beautiful gardens and parks. English In Bath is based in an original Gerogian townhouse, in central Bath, just off the elegant Great Pultney Street. It is only a few minutes walk to the Roman Baths, the 15th century Abbey and the Royal Crescent. The railway station is a ten minute walk from the school.The courses are tailor made to suit individuals within small groups of between 4-7 people. English In Bath has recently won a Princes Trust Award with funding that will help us to expand, in order to allow for more students to benefit from our expertise. ESL Program Introduction The intensive language courses provided at English In Bath are normally two weeks, with two types of courses on offer:1 improving social English/exam preparation or 2. Business English. The first, incorporates social and conversational English, spoken and written grammar activities together with the opportunity to meet a variety of people from the local area who will enhance knowledge of life here in Bath and also develop confidence in the spoken language. Business courses focus on public speaking, vocabulary, meetings, presentations and business etiquette in the U.K. During your business course you will have the opportunity to visit businesses in the area and speak to local business people. We consider excursions an important part of language learning and also learning about the English culture and heritage.
