Universal English College is a school established for those who use English as a Second Language. We are dedicated to helping people develop comfort and confidence with the English Language. Our school focuses on communication and conversation, and we keep our class sizes small to give students a chance to interact with their teacher and other students.
Universal English College is located in our own bright, modern building near downtown Edmonton, in the middle of the 124th Street shopping district. We are close to many restaurants, coffee shops, shopping centres, art galleries, and several Edmonton attractions. Our building is conveniently located near 12 major bus routes.
Our school features many services for students, including a private study area, student lounge, lunch room, computer room with FREE internet and a courtyard. We also offer student councelling, orientation, assistance with living in Edmonton & Canada including housing arrangements, Visa applications, Insurance, and travel. We also have regular activities and fieldtrips for our students to help them experience Canada and practice using English.
Our courses focus on communication and conversation. Our class sizes are small (3-10 students) so that each student can feel comfortable speaking in the classroom. Our courses each have 4 levels: Beginner, Lower-Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, and Advanced, and we hold placement interviews for each student to make sure they are studying at a level that is appropriate for their ability. Our classes include Conversation English, Life English, Business English, Idioms & Slang, Reading & Writing, TOEFL, and TOEIC preparation. Our teachers are all experienced, enthusiastic, and have experienced living and teaching overseas. We are prepared to make your time at our school fun, rewarding, and educational.

Tuition:
Afternoons (1-3pm or 3-5pm): 8 hours/week; $264 CDN for 4 weeks
Mornings (9-12am): 15 hours/week; $495 CDN for 4 weeks
Full Time (9am-3pm): 23 hours/week; $759 CDN for 4 weeks
Intensive (9am-5pm) 31 hours/week; $995 CDN for 4 weeks
Discounts: Register for 3 months, get 10% discount
Register for 6 months, get 15% discount
Registration Fee: $35 or $85 if Letter of Acceptance Required
Books: $50-70 CDN per course
Housing: We can offer assistance with housing or homstay.
Expected housing fees: $400-$700 per month
