School Introduction

HBU is a small liberal arts university on 100 acres offering bachelor and master degree programs. Our student body of approximately 2,500 is composed of students from many countries and different cities in the U.S. We offer collegiate and intramural sports for men and women. Only 50 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and Galveston, 30 miles from the Space Center and 5 miles from the largest livestock show and rodeo in the world. Houston also has a symphony, ballet,
opera, theatre and professional sports teams.

ESL Program Introduction

The IEI provides high quality English training with opportunities for social interatcion and personal development. These featurescontribute to helping all students reach their goals. Social activities are available on campus with the general student population and with IEI classmates. All faculty members have university degrees and experience teaching academic ESL. They are very caring and willing to spend extra time with the students.
